Hey everyone! Let me start by saying thank you to those people that have been following my very sporadic Instagram and Facebook posts. I have MUCH to learn about this social media gig. Also y’all, lets be real. The last time I posted on my blog, I was 6 plus months pregnant with my now ALMOST 4 YEAR OLD, and have moved three times since. Every year I promised myself I would start this blog up again, but here I am, 3 years later and FINALLY following through with that promise. Enough about all that! You guys want hear about what I am doing NOW.
The family and I have finally settled in what we hope to be our forever home (Lord willing) just east of Austin, TX. We found an amazing piece of property that felt as though it was meant for us. Needless to say, we still don’t know exactly what we’re doing, fail A LOT, and frequently make things a lot harder than they need to be. But honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. This place is ALL worth it. In the last 3ish years we welcomed our sweet and salty little boy to the family, adopted 3 more barn cats, 2 donkeys, and one more dog (that’s a total of 3 now). As if I wasn’t overwhelmed enough, I thought it would be a good idea to add a few more mouths to feed.
With this new property, we have a lot that needs to be fixed before we can dive in. We have fences to mend, tractors to buy, and the average homeowner problems. It’s a process! That process is teaching me A LOT of patience. I am really looking forward to sharing our journey as we figure things out here.
That being said, my “personal goal” for this blog will be to share with you our successes and failures, our progress on repairing the land, and the fun “Mom Stuff” in between. I want to be open and candid about my struggles as a mom and wife. I am NOT a professional and I am by no means, perfect. I’m just a mom who has a passion for writing and hopes to touch just one person who reads my jibber jabber with terrible grammar and punctuation. SOOOO… I would love to hear your suggestions, comments, and pep talks (We can scratch the negativity. Ain’t nobody got time for that). Here’s to one more blog post! Cheers! Thanks for reading y’all.
